Lot clearing prepares a specific building site by removing all trees, brush, stumps, and debris from the footprint area. Common in rural Wisconsin for pole barn sites, new home builds, and septic system installations, lot clearing typically costs less than full-acreage clearing because the work area is defined and contained.

What We Do
About Lot Clearing
Lot clearing is land clearing scaled to a single parcel — usually under two acres. You have a residential lot, a cabin site, or a rural property that is overgrown, and you need it cleaned up so you can build, landscape, or just use the space again. We handle lot clearing across central Wisconsin from our base in Oxford.
Most lots we clear are a mix of brush, saplings, and scattered trees. The mulcher takes down everything under 6-8 inches in diameter and grinds it into chips on the spot. Larger trees get felled first, then we process the stumps. The finished surface is level, walkable, and ready for whatever your next step is — pouring a foundation, grading for a driveway, or just mowing.

When you need lot clearing
Lot clearing makes sense any time you have a single parcel that is too overgrown to use. The most common scenario is a landowner who bought a wooded lot and needs it cleared before construction can start. The builder needs a defined footprint, driveway access, and sometimes a cleared area for the septic system and well.
Another common situation is inherited or neglected property. A lot that has not been maintained for five or ten years can go from a mowed yard to a thicket of box elder, sumac, and wild grape. Clearing brings it back to usable condition without damaging the soil.
Cabin and vacation property owners call us regularly, especially in Adams and Marquette counties. They want enough cleared space for the structure, a yard area, and maybe a fire pit or parking pad — but they want the surrounding woods left natural. That selective clearing is something we do on nearly every lot job.
